Fall Creek Falls Lake Campground

Fall Creek Falls Lake Campground is as close to luxury as you can get and still be camping. Each of its 228 campsites comes with tables, grills, and both electrical and water hookups. Central bathhouses and showers are a luxury available to all campers.

Some other nice amenities include playground equipment for the young ones, telephones, picnic shelters, ice, and special sites for the physically challenged. Dump stations are provided for self-contained trailers.

Activities Abound

A wide variety of activities is within reach of almost any camper. Swimming, fishing, and hiking are all readily accessible amidst the 22,000 acre Fall Creek Falls State Park, where waterfalls, rivers, caves, and gorges can be enthusiastically explored. Fall Creek Falls cascades a majestic 225 feet into a rocky bowl, making it the largest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains, and the 34 miles of hiking trails will undoubtedly lead you to other mesmerizing sites. A camera is a must as you’ll want to remember this experience!

Fall Creek camping isn’t limited to small groups; there are two group camps that can accommodate church groups, family reunions, student groups and other groups of eight or more. Rustic bunkhouses surround dining areas, bathhouses and recreational areas. There are also private swimming areas, large fire rings for bonfires, and private staff quarters.

Know the Rules

Like all good things, Fall Creek camping areas have some simple rules. There is a limit of eight people per site and a maximum of three tents, or one RV and a tent. You can bring your own campfire wood, or buy some at the campground. Collection of deadwood is allowed, but the cutting of trees is not permitted. You can come ahead and hold your favorite site, but you will need to pay for and post it with your receipt. You’ll need more than a lawn chair to secure it; they require a tent, RV, vehicle or a person be present.
