Blessed with some of the most extraordinary scenery in America, Fall Creek Falls attracts thousands of people each year to its numerous swimming, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, bicycling and nature viewing opportunities.

Visit the park’s namesake, Fall Creek Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls east of the Rockies, or take a swing at that golf ball on the top-rated golf course. Wander though the caves with one of the park’s guides. Found within 40 miles of the park are Virgin Falls, Savage Gulf, and Laurel-Snow natural Areas, as well as the famed Cumberland Caverns.

For the cyclist or hiker, Fall Creek Falls offers choices for the leisurely traveler as well as the more advanced rider or hiker. With nearly 20 miles of trails of varying difficulty levels, there is a trail for every type of nature enthusiast. Horseback riders will enjoy the stables, offering 2-mile guided rides through the back country.

Printed maps are located at the Fall Creek Falls Nature Center. History and museum buffs will enjoy the many historical sites that helped define the state of Tennessee, as well as the museums and buildings that preserve that history. Fall Creek Falls is within 30 miles of Sparta, Pikeville and Spencer, towns with historical offerings like the Sparta Rock House and the historic coke ovens. Venture further out and you’ll find several battlefields, cemeteries, and parks related to the Civil War.
